Capcom’s Mega Man X action-platformer is split into 10 stages, the first being a tutorial or introduction stage, 8 main stages and then the final stage. You can do any of the eight main stages in whatever order you like, but clearing one stage will affect other stages. Below is a guide for the Sky stage and it’s boss, Storm Eagle. This stage will have many enemies and bosses.
Mega Man X: Sky Stage & Storm Eagle
This stage will see players face many enemies, before finally coming up against the Storm Eagle. Sky Claw is a common enemy as well as Lift Cannon, Turn Cannon, and Lift Cannon. To capture each enemy, you will need different strategies. I’ll explain them all in this step by step guide.
Sky Stage
This level will be played on a fixed platform. Jump on to one of the moving platforms by heading right. There will be many. Sky ClawsThey are similar to prize claw grabbers. Boomerang Cutter, or Chameleon Sing can be used to combat them. They cover an extensive area. You can either jump up and down to gain a Heart Tank or advance your level by swerving to the left.
Sky Claw
There will be a Lift CannonTo get to a Sub Tank, aim towards the head. Continue on your left, navigating the Sky Claws as well as all moving lifts.
Lift Cannon
You will find a platform with wires leading up. However, you can opt to continue south. Flammable explosive tanks will be located at the end of this pathway. Use your Mega Buster to create a new path that houses Mega Man’s Helmet Upgrade.
Continue on to the wired tower platform, heading up and left. Sky Claws MettalsThis section will have many of them. However, they are easy to eliminate or evaded if you don’t feel up to bothering with them. There will be platforms at the end that can fall once touched. You must move as fast and as safely as you can. Take off on the big airplane carrier to destroy 2 Turn CannonsContinue reading. You will reach the boss by following the ladders.
Boss: Storm Eagle
Storm Eagle‘s attacks strive to push the player off the large air carrier. This can be countered with a dash towards the large air carrier during the winds. He might drop eggs and split them into some birds. Or he could decide to dive bomb your house. Storm Eagle may fly toward you if he attempts to dive bomb your aircraft. Be aware of his movements. To avoid getting damaged, you can either run away or jump above him.
Storm Eagle
Storm Eagle can float around corners if he’s trying to throw eggs at your face. Using Chameleon Sting (gained from the Sting Chameleon stageThis boss will be able to take away a significant amount of their health by using a Mega Buster or max-charged Chameleon Sting. Chameleon sting is the best method to tackle this battle, as the weapon spreads and makes it easy for players to hit Storm Eagle.
