Capcom’s Mega Man X2 action-platformer is split into 10 stages, the first being a tutorial or introduction stage, 8 main stages and then the final stage. You can do any of the eight main stages in whatever order you like. Below is a guide for the Dinosaur Tank stage and it’s boss, Wheel Gator. This guide will show you how to defeat every enemy and boss.
Mega Man X2: Dinosaur Tank Stage & Wheel Gator
This stage will see players face the boss Wheel Gator. However, before they reach the end of the stage they will have to confront a few opponents. This stage will see you face Tubamail S, Tiranos, and Disk Boi 08 as enemies. To defeat each enemy, you will need to use different strategies. I’ll show you how in this step by step guide.
Dinosaur Tank-Stage
Look to your right, and the Tubamail Generator will start spitting. Tubamail-SYou can do it. To bypass them, jump over the generator. Get rid of the TiranosContinue to climb the ladders until you reach an open area. You will find the upgrade to your arm at the top. You can continue on to the tank by destroying all rolling enemies, and then climbing down the ladders. Jump on the wall to jump and then use Strike Chain for the next wall. To find the secret, climb up the wall. arm upgrade
You can descend the hole and hop onto the moving platforms to take the two out. Disk Boi 08You can find it here. To stockpile HP, collect the large HP item. To bypass the Tiranos that are blocking your path, descend the hole. You can climb into the Rabbit Mech Armor and destroy the barrier to your progress. Head straight and punch all enemies in your path. Go up the ladder and defeat all Tiranos before taking the elevator up. To avoid getting killed by spikes, exit the elevator at the top.
To eliminate Disk Boi 08 or Tubamail S, move the platform to your left and shoot Mega Buster. Ascend up and follow the path bypassing several Tubamail generators, Tubamail-S, and Tiranos. Once players have passed two Tubamail-S generators and climbed a steep ledge, they will find a blue door leading to the boss gates.
Boss Wheel Gator
Wheel GatorIt is often more tiring than it is difficult because the oil is everywhere. He also loves to make you wait. He’ll often dive in the oil to start the match. Keep climbing up the nearest wall, and keep going there until you spot a metallic wheel. You will see the wheel moving around so you wait until it climbs the wall before jumping off. Do not spend too long in oil. The Wheel Gator will break through the area, taking 3 damage.
You can choose to climb back up on the wall instead. If he follows, it means that you will have to jump off the wall in order for Wheel Gator to shoot you. Use the weakness strike chain to attack him or, if you have an arm upgrade, shoot him with a Mega Buster. Mega Buster works well for me because he is more likely to be attacked and will not try to get back in the oil.
Wheel Gator
Wheel Gator can charge up his two wheels and launch them toward you. The wheels will then climb up the wall and fall down again. Use the opportunity to shoot Wheel Gator while you are evading them.
He’ll occasionally wind himself up like a drill, then charge at the players. You can shoot him during his attack, but you need to have enough time for him to leap on a wall and then sprint-jump above you. After defeating Wheel Gator, you will receive the Spin Wheel. This is your weakness. Bubble CrabAnd I recommend that you take on the next boss.
