The time required to locate both small and large monsters with gold crowns is a major problem for hunters. There are 31 monsters. 2 have no variation in size and 7 have no events to give players higher odds of obtaining crowns. Deep Green BluesThe event was first announced on February 16th. Players quickly dismissed it as an novelty. They were wrong until they learned about the higher modifiers for quests of this type.
For veterans and players looking to find the legendary platinum trophy, make sure you complete the weekly quests. It is possible to use any of the high-crown event quests, find and kill the one monster missing the crown, and then choose return from quest. The game will still award you a crown if you find one. This is something that I haven’t tried. Instead, I complete each crown weekly quest until all my crowns are earned. *Update: I tested out the mention trick and it does work. It is faster to find the missing monster than complete the quest.*
From my experiences, I usually get several small and large crowns from such events. I don’t see many mix results like getting a small crown and a large one. You will either be granted crowns easily or have to complete the quests several times before you get them all. It is still easier than traditional methods of getting crowns.
1. Should have 3 (rarely 5 for great hunt) attempts and the rewards 1 silver + 1 gold or 2 silver + 2 gold rewards.
2. Big crowns are likely to be spawned in 50 minutes + Zenny Up + 5 tries
3. Smaller spawning rates are possible when you give it 15 minutes plus 1 attempt.
Even these rules aren’t guarantee as players can have up to 200 hunts of that particular monster and nothing. They will find what they are looking for within 2 hours at an event farm.
