A woman files a countersuit against Trevor Bauer’s defamation claims

LOS ANGELES – A San Diego woman has filed a countersuit for Trevor Bauer’s defamation claims. Dodgers According to court filings, the pitcher beat her and left her with bruises.

Bauer denied that he abused the woman he met on social media. In April, Bauer sued her for defamation. He claimed that she had lied about their sexual encounters to ruin his career and reputation while also enriching herself.

Major League Baseball suspended Bauer for two-years after Bauer sued. Bauer claims he had consensual sex with the woman, but it is not enough to justify his suspension.

A battery case filed by the woman Tuesday at U.S. District Court Los Angeles alleges that Bauer had punched and choked it again during sex in 2021.

According to Melanie Wadden, spokesperson for the pitcher, Bauer’s lawyers were expected to issue a statement about the new lawsuit on Thursday. Bauer’s defamation suit alleges that the woman’s claims are “false and fabricated or bogus.”

The lawsuit claims that the man who brutally beat her and threatened to make her suffer for his evil conduct has made her life a “disastrous nightmare.” According to the filing, after one encounter, the woman was left with two black eyes.

The lawsuit requires a jury trial as well unspecified damages.

Bauer’s defamation suit was denied by the woman in her response. She also denied that Bauer had made a false, misleading, or defamatory report to police and she denied having altered or filtered photos when she requested a restraining or temporary order in June 2021.

Although she denied that she planned to ruin Bauer’s career, reputation, or make him rich, the woman admitted she was mad at Plaintiff for having sexually assaulted and abused her.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge John C. Smith refused to grant the restraining orders, stating that the woman had “materially misled” him in part of her request. Bauer was not charged criminally by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

Bauer, who is also suing 2 media outlets for defamation due to their coverage of the allegations against him, is appealing his MLB suspension. A decision is unlikely to be made in the near future.
