According to reports, Trevor Story and Boston Red Sox have agreed to a six-year contract worth $140M.

Story was amongst other shortstops in a competitive free-agent market Carlos Correa, Marcus Semien, Javier Baez Corey Seager — with a résumé featuring two All-Star Games, two Silver Slugger awards and MVP votes during the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons.

Story was the fastest shortstop to reach 100 homers in 448 games in 2019, becoming the fastest. He was a top-10 player in the franchise’s history for his six-year stint with Colorado.
