After being charged with dangerous tackling in the Premiership final loss to Leicester, Saracens Wales scrum-half Aled Davis has been banned for three weeks

Davies, 29, was issued a yellow warning for touching Julian Montoya (head of Tigers hooker) with his shoulder during a tackle in the 24th minutes.

During Davies’ time in sin bin, Saracens conceded 12 point to Davies.

The team continued to lose the match 15-12 at Twickenham.

If Davies takes part in World Rugby’s coaching intervention programme, his ban could be reduced by two weeks.

Once next season’s fixtures have been released, the matches that he will miss are confirmed.
