Atlanta Falcons sign Younghoe Koo to a five-year, $24million deal. Source confirms

Instead of offering kicker Younghoe KooAs a restricted-free agent, Atlanta FalconsInstead, he made a huge commitment to him.

According to ESPN, the club has signed him to a 5-year contract worth $24.25m and $11.5 million guaranteed. It will keep one of Atlanta’s best kickers. The deal was first reported by NFL Network.

Koo, who is paid an average of $4.85million per year, is second in league kicker salaries, after Baltimore. Justin TuckerRoster Management System reports that he earns $5 million annually.

The 27-yearold Korean-American, born in Seoul, but raised in New Jersey, was successful in 93.1 percent his field goal attempts last year. This included 4 of 5 shots from 50 yards or longer and three game-winners. Koo, a 2020 Pro Bowler has been with Falcons for three seasons and made 92.6 per cent of his field goals.

He began his career with the Chargers where he was cut after just four games. After that, he signed with the Falcons.
