Ireland was beaten by Australia in the historic Spain Sevens final.
Beibhinn parsons was the first to draw blood for Ireland in their first World Rugby Series final. Stacey Flood followed shortly thereafter.
However, Dominique du Toit and Faith Nathan from Australia won the battle.
Du Toit then made a spectacular break to feed Nathan and sealed the win.
Du Toit, the player of the match, said that it was a “great final.” It was amazing to see our girls fighting just as hard. [as Ireland]”For the last attempt.”
Ireland’s tournament was impressive, including beating England in the semi-final.
