Brad Miller, an infielder, agrees to a 2-year, $10M contract with the Texas Rangers

SURPRISE, Ariz. — Brad MillerA $10 million, 2-year contract has been signed with the Texas RangersChris Woodward is now a manager of a player who started at every outfield and infield position during his career.

Miller scored 20 home runs last season for Philadelphia. He also started games at right field, left field, and first base. Miller, 32, will earn $6million this season and $4million in 2023.

Culberson, who made a record 60 starts at third base last season for the Rangers, would receive a base salary of $1.75million if he were to be added to the 40-man roster.

Miller is a career hitter at.239 with 115 homers, 367 RBI and 947 games in six teams. The left-handed hitter plays right field.

Texas selected Miller 39th in 2008’s amateur draft. Miller chose to go to Clemson, and Seattle made him a 2nd-round pick three years later. Miller made his big league debut with the Mainers in 2013. He has also played for Tampa Bay and Milwaukee, Cleveland, and St. Louis.

Culberson’s last 90 games for the Rangers saw him hit.243, with five homers as well as 22 RBI. His 60 third-base starts were his highest at any single position during a career that includes games with San Francisco (2012) and Colorado (2013). Los Angeles Dodgers(2016-17) & Atlanta (2018-2020).
