WASHINGTON Bradley Beal The Wizards They renewed their love and commitment when he signed a five-year agreement worth up to $251million to remain in Washington.
It is unclear whether this commitment will result in five more years of success than the previous ten.
Beal declared Friday at a news conference that he wanted to win a championship. “I believe we can win in D.C.”
It has been hard to prove that the Wizards support that belief. Beal was drafted in 2012 by the Wizards to be a point guard. John WallThe Wizards have been to five playoffs but never advanced beyond the second round. This was five years ago when Wall was playing in Washington.
The Wizards have been able to keep Beal at the point guard position for the past few years and have not had to persuade a big-name agent to join them in a star-driven league.

Beal spoke at the news conference with his young sons. Beal stated that their financial security means they don’t have to work hard for anything. It is up to me to find the balance and solve it. This is a rare thing, especially for Blacks.
Beal stated that he was happy with his decision and that it would be more satisfying to win a Washington championship than chase a title with “super teams.”
“You proved all doubters wrong. You did everything to make it happen, and you succeeded. It would mean everything to you,” Beal said. That would be more than just leaving and playing with four All-Stars. Talking to guys who have been there, you’ll see that it isn’t always great. It’s not always easy. It’s not always what it seems.
