Brandon Ingram, New Orleans Pelicans’, likely to return to action after a 10-game absence

The New Orleans PelicansHave been listed Brandon Ingramas likely for Sunday’s matchup against Los Angeles LakersThis allowed the forward to finally end his 10-game absence and return against his former teammates.

Ingram has been absent since March 8 because of a strained right hip. Ingram missed the Pelicans’ last road trip due to a non-COVID condition. Ingram was unable to attend New Orleans’ home games against. ChicagoAnd San AntonioWhile getting ready to make a comeback against the Lakers.

Ingram was not with the Pelicans as they push for a place in the Western Conference playin tournament.

Ingram is most likely to be back, but the Pelicans might not have two other important pieces. CJ McCollum(Left ankle sprain). Jonas ValanciunasBoth McCollum (right foot soreness), and Valanciunas (left foot soreness), were both listed as questionable following Saturday’s game against the Spurs. McCollum scored 32 points in 35 minutes, while Valanciunas scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds over 29 minutes.

Larry Nance Jr.(right knee arthritis) is also listed as questionable. Nance made his season debut against Bulls, but it looks like the Pelicans will rest him on the second day of a back to back.

New Orleans is the No. New Orleans, the No. 10 seed in West sits half-game behind the Lakers and one-game ahead of the Spurs in play-in. Friday night in Los Angeles, the Pelicans are scheduled to take on the Lakers.

The Pelicans beat the Lakers 123-95 in February 27, and a win Sunday would tie the game, as the teams have played three times this season.
