Chicago Bears placed QB Justin Fields in reserve/COVID-19 List

The Chicago BearsPlacĂ© quarterback Justin FieldsHe is on the reserve/Covid-19 roster Thursday and will be able to participate in the team’s season-finale against the Minnesota Vikings in jeopardy.

Fields, 22 years old, had just returned to practice after suffering an ankle injury that left him out of the last two games.

Matt Nagy, Bears’ coach, said he would be starting on Sunday. But Fields must “test out,” under new COVID-19 rules. Fields must also be vaccinated. He cannot return to practice if he hasn’t been vaccinated and hasn’t tested positive.

The Bears have won two of their last two games. Nick Foles Andy Dalton under center. Dalton would likely be the starter if Fields is unable to play.

Fields has appeared in 10 games this season. With Fields at the helm, the Bears are currently 2-8.
