Chicago Bulls have shut down Lonzo ball for the rest of NBA season

Chicago Bulls point guard Lonzo BallThe team announced Wednesday that they will not be returning for the remainder of this season.

Ball, who had not played since Jan. 14th, underwent surgery on his left leg on Jan. 28 in order to repair a minor meniscus tear. He is still experiencing pain from “high-level physical activity”.

When his knee didn’t respond to the rehab process, he has been out of action for longer than his team had anticipated. Chicago delayed the ramp up process by 10 days at the beginning of March in the “hope” that more rest would help him recover. But Ball had a setback.

Wednesday’s Bulls announcement by the Bulls stated that Ball will continue daily treatment for rehabilitation and preparations for the 2022-23 season.
