Claudia MacDonald, England scrum-half, is one of six new players signed by Exeter Chiefs in the 2022-23 season.
After four years with Premier 15s rival Wasps, the 26-year old joins.
Cliodhna Mooney, Cliodhna’s hooker in Ireland, is also moving from Wasps and the Chiefs.
They are joined by Silvia Turani, Charli Jacoby and Charli Johnsony from Italy as well as Liv McGoverne (a utility back from New Zealand) and Halley Derera from Australia.

She started out in the back-three so she is very quick. But she migrated to playing nine, where she’s absolutely electric.
Appleby, who led Chiefs to the Premier 15s final in their second season since they were formed, said, “There are some unnamed names there, who came through just word-of-mouth or a little recommendation but we know that they are all quality players.”

“Halley has been playing in Australia for a while, but I think she’s top-scorer at their provincial comp. She’s English-qualified so she’s a real treasure for us.
