According to a league source the two parties tried to restructure their contract to keep Landry in Cleveland but couldn’t reach an agreement. Landry can now sign with any team.

Landry was expected to make $16million next season, but there was no guarantee money on his contract. He stated in February that Landry would like to remain in Cleveland but that he believes he can still make a contribution for another team and help them win a championship.
Landry, a five-time Pro Bowler, struggled last year with a knee injury that he sustained in Week 2. The injury kept him out of action for five weeks. He finished the season with 52 receptions, 570 yards, and four touchdowns. This is a career low.
