After five minutes, Cornwall was up 14-0 thanks to Jack Oulton and Will Trewin's attempts. Oulton then got a second just before the break, after Cheshire had missed several chances.

Josiah Dickinson was twice sent to Cheshire shortly after the restart.

The two Fraser Honey penalties, one on either side of Joe Walsh's try, kept Cornwall ahead. Dickinson then got a third attempt before the Honey penalty closed it.
