Cooper was facing their first third down play of the drive when Prescott completed a flawless 20-yard pass to Cooper. Cooper blew past cornerback K’Waun WilliamsTo reduce the 49ers’ lead to 13-7 with 5;19 remaining in the first-half.
Cowboys led the way with 7 yards on their eight first plays. However, offensive coordinator Kellen Moore switched to running the offense on the first five plays. Ezekiel Elliott picked up 10 yards, Tony Pollard9 of them were purchased CeeDee LambPicked up 5. The Cowboys were calmed down by this and they were in scoring position. Prescott and Cooper then connected for a touchdown for their second playoff game together.
NFL Next Gen stats indicate that Cooper scored his second touchdown receiving from the slot this season. It was also the Cowboys’ 14th consecutive touchdown on red zone possessions.
