Dan Hampton, a former Chicago Bears player and Corridor of Honoree, was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while under the influence

WINFIELD, Ind. — Former Chicago BearsDan Hampton (defensive lineman) was elected to Professional Soccer Corridor of Fame 2002. He was accused of driving a car while drunk.

According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Workplace, Hampton was arrested on Nov. 20 for working a car while intoxicated in Winfield. Winfield is approximately 50 miles from Chicago.

Hampton was released the next morning from jail after being bail set at $25,000.

Hampton, 64 years old, was an active member of the Bears’ team from 1979, when he was drafted as the fourth general pick, until 1990. After the 1985 season, Hampton was part of the Bears’ Tremendous bowl-winning team.

Hampton played in Arkansas’ faculty, where he was a Southwestern All-Convention pick and Defensive Participants of the 12 Months in his final season.

After retiring as a participant, he labored as a TV and radio analyst, together with as a bunch of the “The Hamp & O’B Present” on Chicago’s WGN Radio.
