Dan Lydiate, Ospreys flanker, could be back in February after sustaining a knee injury playing for Wales 12 months ago.

Toby Booth, Ospreys’ head coach, confirmed that he was back in training this week.

“We are really excited to see him out there,” he stated.

Booth states that Lydiate will now be entering a crucial period of training.

He stated that he needs to undergo at least two to three weeks of physical contract conditioning. If he does, he should be available by February, which would be exciting.

“Gareth Anscombe was out for quite some time due to his injury. We talked about Gareth Anscombe, George North and other topics. [it is the] same injury.

“He has to have confidence in his body, especially in the position he plays and how he plays.”

Lydiate’s team-mates, fellow British and Irish Lions, George North and Justin Tipuric are still sidelined. set to miss the start of the 2022 Six Nations.
