Dan Norton: England rugby 7s legend announces his retirement

Dan Norton represented Great Britain in the Tokyo Olympics of 2021.

Dan Norton, the legend of England’s rugby sevens, announced that he would be retiring after the Vancouver Sevens Series.

The 34-year-old was part the Great Britain team that won Olympic Silver at Rio 2016 Games. She also represented Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics last year.

“I have enjoyed 14 years of annoying the world and my team-mates. Norton stated that he loved every moment of it.

The Vancouver Seven Series will take place between 16-17 April.

Norton, a Gloucester-born man, made his England debut in 2009. He went on to represent England in 91 competitions.

Norton was an ex-winger for the Bristol Bears and spent most of his career playing sevens.

He represented Great Britain as well when they won bronze in the Commonwealth Games 2018.
