Denver Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy taken into custody

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver BroncosWide receiver Jerry JeudyThe Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department arrested him Thursday afternoon.

According to the Sheriff’s Department Jeudy was taken into custody sometime between 11:30 and 12:30 (mountaintime). Jeudy was still in the booking process on Thursday afternoon so no information was available about charges.

Broncos officials didn’t immediately respond to inquiries for comment.

Jeudy is currently attending the Broncos’ offseason program. This week, he was also present at sessions. Jeudy was the Broncos first-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.

This past season, he missed six games due to an ankle injury. He finished the season with 38 receptions for 467 yard and no touchdowns.

Jeudy said Wednesday that he was optimistic about Russell Wilson’s arrival as quarterback.

Jeudy stated that he could be a big help to me. “He’s a great quarterback and a Hall of Fame quarterback who came to the offense in a leadership role. “He’s) making me better. He’s going be a great help to me this year.
