Denver Nuggets sell JaMychal Green and Oklahoma City Thunder to get a draft pick in the first round

The Denver Nuggets Are you trading forward? JaMychal Green Protected 2027 First-round Pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder Sources told ESPN Monday that the 30th pick and two future second-rounders were available for this month’s NBA Draft draft.

The Thunder have the Nos. The Nuggets are now Nos. 21 and 30.

Sources claim that Oklahoma City will send Denver second round picks in 2023, 2024.

Sources said that Green will opt in to his $8.2million salary for the 2022-2023 seasons this month. This will finalize the deal.

Calvin Booth, the new general manager of the Nuggets’ basketball operation since Tim Connelly’s departure, is the first to oversee them. MinnesotaDenver allows for some salary flexibility, which saves them $20 million in salary, and luxury tax. Denver is still expected to be a luxury tax paying team next year. However, they now have flexibility to use the $6.4 million taxpayer midlevel exemption or an $8.2million Trade exception that was created as part of the deal.

The Thunder have $31.6million of salary-cap room to absorb Green’s contract. Green, 31, averaged 6.4 rebounds and 4.2 points per game for the Nuggets in 16 minutes this season. Green’s 10th season in NBA will be 2022-23.
