Another woman has filed suit againstJoin 22 other women who have been accused by the Cases of inappropriate sexual conduct during massage sessions are being tried in civil court.
The lawsuit against Watson claims that the plaintiff had her first massage session with Watson in the summer 2020, and that Watson's “behavior worsened.” The lawsuit claims that Watson touched the plaintiff between her legs during the third and final massage.
According to the suit, the woman changed her mind after watching HBO's “Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel”. Ashley Solis, Kyla Hayes and Kyla Hayes also criticized Watson for allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct.
Solis stated to HBO that it was “just like a big ‘screw you’.”
Leah Graham was one of Watson's lawyers and told HBO that Watson had “no regrets” because he did not do anything wrong.
“In that part, plaintiff was struck at the courage of victims willing to speak up and was greatly displeased by Watson's treatment and revictimizations by the plaintiffs,” states the latest lawsuit. Watson, however, claimed that he had ‘no regrets' about his actions and that they have done nothing wrong. This strengthened her resolve. She is seeking minimal compensation and a court ruling that Watson's conduct was illegal.
Texas's two grand juries declined to bring criminal charges against Watson. Watson has denied any wrongdoing. As part of its investigation, the NFL interviewed Watson last week to determine if Watson had violated its code conduct policy.
Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner, said that he believes the NFL is close to the end of its investigation. However, he could not give a timeline as to when a ruling might come out.
The Browns have not yet commented on the latest lawsuit. Tony Buzbee was the attorney representing the 23 plaintiffs and said that Watson could be subject to “other cases”.
In a statement, he stated that “The Watson defense group has vilified those women and this cause.” Shame on them! We are looking forward to trying the case in court.
