Drake is betting big on Odell Jr., who will receive $1M in incentives for his Super Bowl win

THOUSAND OAKS CA — There are $1 million in incentives in his contract. He also has free agency a month away. Odell Beckham Jr. Super Bowl LVI could be a great opportunity to make some serious money.

Drake posted photos on his Instagram account Thursday of three wagers. Drake placed a money-line bet on the Rams winning outright. He risked more than $471,000 (when converted from Canadian dollars to US dollars) for a payout of over $711,000. Drake placed two other wagers on Beckham to score at least one touchdown and receive 62.5 yards receiving. Each bet paid out nearly $711,000 each.

Drake would win all three bets and receive $2.267 million in total, which is just under $1 million profit. The caption in his post read“All bets on the family” Beckham appears in the Drake video for “Laugh Now Cry Later”, Drake’s 2020 hit.

Beckham said, “But ultimately bro, I just want that trophy to be up and look at my brothers like, “Man, we did it!” Just feel that joy. It’s true, I feel like I can catch all the opportunities that come my way. I make the plays. I keep my hands locked in. All of these things are possible.

Beckham has scored touchdowns in six of his 11 games this season with Rams. In four of those games, Beckham has had at least 64 receiving yards.

Beckham signed a one year deal with Los Angeles in November. The incentives included $3 million worth of incentives that were tied to the team’s success in postseason. Beckham has already received $2 million from that. Beckham will receive an additional $500,000 if Beckham is unable to play in the Super Bowl, and $1 million if Beckham wins.

Beckham, 29, has been working hard to prepare for the Super Bowl and is also looking forward to becoming a father. Lauren Wood, Beckham’s girlfriend, will soon have their first child.

He said, “You have two of life’s greatest blessings, two unique moments and opportunities that all happen at once.”

Beckham wants the baby to be born Friday night or one or two days after the Super Bowl so it does not clash with the Super Bowl.
