England v Barbarians: Tommy Freeman is named in the England team

Breaking news

Tommy Freeman, an uncapped full-back for Northampton, has been included in England's side against the Barbarians.

Jack Walker, Harlequins hooker makes his first England appearance at Twickenham.

Mark Atkinson, the Gloucester centre, makes his first start. Joe Cokanasiga, the Bath winger returns almost one year after being absent.

Danny Care, the Scrum-half, could be the first to appear since November 2018, after being named on the bench.

Courtney Lawes, England's Six Nations captain, is also one of the replacements. Also included are Wasps flanker Jack Willis who sustained a serious injury to his knee against Italy in February 2021.

While Will Goodrick-Clarke and Patrick Schickerling are uncapped, the trio of Orlando Bailey, Bath fly-half, and Henry Arundell, full-back for London Irish, are both on the bench.

As they compete in the Premiership final, the players of Saracens & Leicester are not available.

Freeman; Cokanasiga, Marchant, Atkinson, May; Smith, Randall; Rodd, Walker, Collier, Ewels, Hill, Curry, Underhill, Dombrandt.
