Ben Stevenson is in Newcastle Falcons' lineup to face Glasgow Warriors in Friday's European Challenge Cup tie.

The 23-year old replaces Mateo Carreras, who was injured in November.

After their win against Zebre, Glasgow makes seven changes to its side for the trip Newcastle.

Rory Darge is now number eight as Thomas Gordon recovers from an injury.

Gordon assumes the open-side flanker role, while Simon Berghan takes over as tight-head prop. Ali Price is at scrum-half.

Sione Tuipulotu and Sam Johnson both make their way to the centre, while Josh McKay returns to the full-back position in the starting XV.

Stevenson, who was injured in his ankle, recently took a seat on the bench against Worcester and Zebre. He is now back in the Newcastle starting lineup.

Friday's tie will see the Falcons seeking to reach the quarterfinals for the second season in succession. This is the first time the two sides have met in competitive play since the dawn of professional football.
