Former Washington safety Deshazor Everett pleads guilt to a lesser charge of reckless driving after a fatal crash

ASHBURN (Va.) — Former Washington Commanders safety Deshazoreverett pleaded guilty for a lesser reckless driving charge in December’s crash that claimed the life of his longtime girlfriend.

According to Virginia’s sentencing guidelines, Everett could spend up to one year in prison for reckless driving. On Sept 8, he will be sentenced at the General District Court of Loudoun County in Virginia.

After an investigation revealed that Everett was driving 90 miles per hour, twice the legal limit for semi-rural roads on Dec. 23, Everett was charged in January with felony involuntary murder.

Olivia Peters, Olivia’s passenger, died at a local medical facility.
