Friday Fantasy Hockey Tips – NHL matchups and picks

Forwards for Deep League/Daily Fantasy

Fantasy defensemen in the mid-tier

Vladislav GavrikovColumbus Blue Jackets (50.0%): Gavrikov plays a lot and blocks a lot of shots. Night in, night out, he is playing a lot. Blue Jackets top-pair defender Gavrikov is projected to share a large portion of ice time with Patrik LaineThe healthy return of Corey, who is scheduled to face his former team on Friday.

Defensemen of Deep League/Daily Fantasy Value

Ryan Lindgren, New York Rangers (3.4%): So Rangers defender is now a playmaker, I think. It’s working out well for the club. Lindgren was the primary assister on all three New York goals in Wednesday’s win over Ottawa, 3-1. In his four previous contests, he also received three more helpers. Fantasy managers should take advantage of this opportunity as long as the 24-yearold is still in a productive state. You will receive at most a block shot or two from him, probably along with a couple of hits and shots in net.

Goalies

Jaroslav Halak (possible), New York Rangers (1.6%): Gerard Gallant is my Rangers backup. He stopped 34 of 35 shots and earned win No. 1 of 2022-23 against the exact same Senators just two days ago. Next Play Igor Shesterkin Saturday’s game against the visiting Blackhawks. If this is how it turns out, managers might consider streaming Halak or using him as a Daily Fantasy asset. Wednesday’s confident performance on Wednesday was so convincing. But I’m Not The New York Rangers head coach. Before making any move, ensure Halak is actually starting.
