Eire head coach Greg McWilliams has stepped down from the place by “mutual consent” following the workforce’s poor Girls’s Six Nations marketing campaign.
A press release from the Irish Rugby Soccer Union mentioned that McWilliams had departed with “quick impact”.
The IRFU mentioned assistant coach John McKee “will oversee operations till a long-term alternative is finalised”.
Eire misplaced all of their Six Nations video games, rounded off by last weekend’s 36-10 defeat by Scotland.
That left Eire backside of the desk, eight years after they received their final Six Nations title.
Earlier this week, following media reviews that McWilliams was set to step down, the IRFU mentioned that it was “in dialogue” with the coach.

McWilliams was head coach of Main League Rugby aspect Rugby United New York earlier than being appointed by Eire in December 2021.
