Luke Cowan-Dickie, the Exeter hooker, will be returning to captain the side as they seek revenge on December’s Champions Cup defeat to Glasgow.

Ryan Wilson, the Warriors club captain, is currently on the bench. He hopes to be the second player in Glasgow’s history to earn 200 caps.

Rob Baxter, Exeter director of rugby has made five changes after Jonny Gray was injured and missed out.

Glasgow’s only significant change is the return of Jack Dempsey, number eight.

After Alec Hepburn’s departure, Prop Ben Moon will take over as hosts for Exeter. three-game banThe second row is made up of Sam Skinner, Sean Lonsdale, and Gray, who are being replaced by Jonny Hill from England.

Tom O’Flaherty is back on the wing, and Dafydd Jenkins, a 19-year old lock, awaits his European debut.

Matt Fagerson is back as a flanker with Glasgow’s Dempsey at number 8. Sebastian Cancelliere, who sits on the bench, could make his European debut.

Rob Baxter, Exeter director for rugby, said: “I think the Glasgow performance was a blip for our team, because it has felt like we’ve been on an upslope curve for the past five to six weeks.”

Danny Wilson, head coach, told glasgowwarriors.org “We’re confident that after our performance against Exeter we will be able to compete at Sandy Park. Ryan Wilson will be playing in his 200th match for the club, which gives us extra motivation. It’s a huge milestone that we have been talking about this week.
