Cameron Redpath, from Scotland, will play his first Bath match since May at flyhalf when they take on La Rochelle in Saturday’s Champions Cup.

Redpath impressed in his Scotland debut in 2021 Six Nations victory in England. He then injured his knee in a Premiership match three month later.

The 22-year-old is among seven players who were brought into the starting team XV after Bath’s. first league win of the season.

Ronan O’Gara is the head coach at La Rochelle. He has also made seven adjustments.

France international Brice Dullin, a France international, comes in at the full-back after their narrow defeat by Castres 2 January. Jonathan Danty begins at 12.

Redpath, who is usually a centre, will be taking on the Bath No 10 shirt upon his return, with Danny Cipriani and Orlando Bailey, Tian Schoeman, Max Ojomoh, Tian Schoeman and Tom de Glanville all out of action due to injury.

Ben Spencer, wing Will Muir and Scrum-half Ben Spencer are back in the starting team XV. Full-back Ruaridh McConnochie is also included. Centre Max Clark is also part of the start-up.

Juan Schoeman and D’Arcy Rae will replace Lewis Boyce and Will Stuart in the front row. Hooker Tom Doughty will be making his European debut.

The bench will be home to centre Will Butt who is making his European debut. Russia prop Valery Morozova could make his Bath debut.

After two of the four group games, Bath is ranked 10th in Pool B. The top eight advance to the final 16. La Rochelle are fourth.

Pierre Popelin’s French side starts at 10 with prop Dany Pozzo, locks Romain Szy and Remi Piquette, flanker Paul Boudehent, and prop Dany Prizo.
