Igor Shesterkin, New York Rangers’ top goaltender, wins the Vezina Trophy

TAMPA, Fla. — New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin The Vezina Trophy was awarded to the NHL's best goalie, on Tuesday night at the NHL Awards.

Shesterkin helped the Rangers achieve a turnaround season, which saw them reach the Eastern Conference Finals. They lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games.

Shesterkin was the league's leader in goals-against average (2.07) and save percentage (0.935) during the regular season.
