The Grizzlies have suspended Ja Morant from all staff actions after a video that appeared to indicate the star guard holding a gun started circulating on social media Saturday night time.
The Grizzlies introduced the suspension, which is pending a league evaluation, in a press release Sunday, two months after the NBA suspended Morant over an identical incident. The staff didn’t present additional remark.
The Instagram Dwell video, which has since been deleted, exhibits Morant using within the entrance passenger seat of a automobile and holding what seems to be a gun in his left hand. It was not clear when the video was taken.
The NBA has not commented publicly on the state of affairs.
Morant left the Grizzlies and entered a counseling program in March after a video confirmed the All-Star holding a gun at a Denver membership when the Grizzlies had been on the town to play the Nuggets. He was ultimately suspended eight video games after assembly with NBA commissioner Adam Silver, who referred to as Morant’s conduct “irresponsible, reckless and doubtlessly very harmful.”
