After suffering an ankle injury four week ago, Jacob Stockdale, Ulster’s wingman, will be back in training with the Ireland squad.

Stockdale was hurt in Ulster’s defeat to Leinster 30 September. However, it was not related to the ankle injury that kept Stockdale out most of last year.

Irish Rugby stated that Stockdale would be “reintegrated into training” this week.

Following an injury, Jamison Gibson Park, Hugo Keenan and Calvin Nash will all be back in training.

Stockdale made his Ireland debut in 2017 against the USA. He was awarded Player of the Six Nations for 2018, after helping Ireland win the Grand Slam.

He has recorded 19 international tries in 35 Ireland appearances, but injuries have prevented him from representing Ireland since his last try against Japan 15 months ago.

Irish Rugby stated that the Ulster contingent, which included Robert Baloucoune and James Hume, Rob Herring as well as Stuart McCloskey, Rob Herring, Rob Herring and Nick Herring, would be “managed over the coming days” in light of recent gastro issues in South Africa. This caused the postponement last weekend’s game against the Sharks.

Joey Carbery is now fit to play for Munster after he has recovered from a shoulder injury. Irish Rugby also stated that Ciaran Fawley’s similar condition would be managed throughout the week.

Tadhg furlong (ankle), Peter O’Mahony(neck) are scheduled to train later in the week, once they’ve completed their rehabilitation programmes. Craig Casey (groin), and Josh van der Flier are still receiving treatment.

The players named in the Ireland A team for the game against the All Blacks XV on Thursday 4 November will be with their respective provinces this week as they play in round seven of United Rugby Championship.
