Jake Fromm, an ex-emergency QB, leads game-winning drives in NFL debut of Buffalo Bills

From then, his everyday routine was far from normal. Fromm was made the Bills’ emergency quarterback. He practiced alone with the team but remained distant from his teammates at Orchard Park.

It was a five- to six month experience for me. Fromm explained that she had never been through something like this before. Although it was difficult, I never felt alone. All this knowing I’d see them soon. And that maybe all this work will be worth it one day.

I wanted to be prepared and, honestly, every single day, I went to work and told them, “Hey, let’s go! Be ready!” Here’s where I am, here’s where my feet are, lets go try our best and give everything my all.

Fromm stated that he knew Friday was coming and had it marked down on his calendar for a while. He also credited Bills practices at Highmark Stadium with helping him adapt to the NFL’s speed.
