“He said that he told me that.” [the Warriors] Green announced Monday at his introductory news conference that they were interested and wanted him to be here.
Green was shocked when the call came. Green was already planning to join another team. Green was influenced by Kerr's conversation.
Green stated that he had spoken to Green and could not say no after talking to him. “The organization and the work they have done over here, I would love to be part of it.”
Green picked up his phone and calledJaMychal's friend since eighth grade through AAU basketball. Draymond has always been a salesperson for Warriors and often calls prospective players to convince them to join Golden State.
While his call with JaMychal was not exactly a pitch for the company, it did help seal the deal.
JaMycal stated, “He was just thrilled.” “We each know what we have to offer, and we just had good conversations about everything. It was easy for me to come to him.”
Green views Draymond's role as a Warriors player as a guideline for how he would like to play with the Warriors.
Green stated, “Just come in to play hard.” “Be a good dog. Help Draymond with the dirty jobs. Do the dirty work — play defense. It's my feeling that if you come to this place and manage your business, it will set you up for success in life.
Green's match with the Warriors fills that void..'s departure. Green's first year as a member of the In the 2020-21 season, he spread his floor shooting 39.9% from three (a career 36.6 3-point shooting percentage). He rebounded well and provided a defender who could protect both the center and wings.

Green will not only be a floor-spreader but will also likely spend some time playing small-ball centers for Golden State. This is something Green feels comfortable with after having to play backup center.Denver, at times.
The Nuggets traded Green, and a first round pick to theTo obtain the draft rights for No. Peyton Waston as the No. 30 pick and two picks in the second round. The Thunder however made it clear that they wanted to move Green elsewhere once the deal was completed.
