According to ESPN’s Adrian WojnarowskiThompson is expected to make a return to the Warriors starting rotation against The Cleveland CavaliersSunday. The former All-Star and three-time NBA Champion spent the last two years recovering from injuries to his right Achilles and left ACL.
Thompson quickly became a popular social media follower during his 941-day absence. He assumed many different personas during his absence from court, including “Kayak Klay”, “Captain Klay” or “Captain Klay”, among others.
