Klay Thompson will not be present for the Golden State Warriors’ preseason game in Japan

SAITAMA, Japan — Klay Thompson You will not be able to play in either one of these Golden State WarriorsSteve Kerr, head coach, announced the Japan preseason games.

Kerr stated that the Warriors made the decision out of an abundance caution, as they are currently in a condensed training camp.

Kerr told the Warriors against the “Just feel more at home giving him a little bit more of a boost.” Washington Wizards Friday. He’s not ready to play at the moment, purely because it’s so early in camp. We want him to feel safe before he goes into games.

The Warriors had only three practices in San Francisco before taking the 11-hour flight from Japan to Japan last Wednesday.

Kerr stated, “Just coming off of the two years with injuries, this game is really unique after 3 1/2 practices so it’s just being cautious and trying the smartest thing.”

Thompson was subject to a strict game restriction in the last season, starting with a minute restriction and never participating in back-toback games. This restriction came after Thompson had missed two consecutive seasons due to leg injuries.

One week will pass before the Warriors’ return to the Bay Area.
