The Premiership champions have renewed the contracts of Jack van Poortvliet, George Martin, and Freddie Steward from Leicester Tigers.

Full-back Steward (21), was named England’s player and young player respectively at the Rugby Players Association awards in May.

Both lock Martin and scrum-half van Poortvliet, both 21 years old, made their Test debuts in England’s Test matches over the past 18 months.

Steve Borthwick, Tigers boss, said that “This is an exciting time for the club.”

“All three of these young men – George, Freddie, and Jack – are proud Leicester Tigers members who have been a part the club since their childhoods and are now grown up together at the club.

“There’s so much growth in all their games; the steps that they have taken in their young careers has be brilliant to watch and a privilege being a part of at Leicester Tigers.”

Steward was the first to start for Tigers against Saracens in their Premiership final victory, while Martin was on the bench.

Van Poortvliet was a key player in Leicester’s win at Twickenham, and was on the bench against Northampton.
