As of now, the 2022 NHL offseason has begun. the draft Now, the past is behind them as teams try to shape their rosters through trades and resignings.
Because of the 2021-22 shift, the traditional date for free agency begins on July 1. However, this year it will start on July 13.
The dates are different, but the goal for free agency has not. NHL GMs hope to find the game-changing veterans who can help them improve their contention status or strengthen their core with glue that creates championships.
