Los Angeles Rams announce that it will handle discipline in Cincinnati Bengals brawl “internally”

The Los Angeles Rams said star defensive lineman Aaron Donald Other players will be disciplined internally for their role in Thursday’s brawl, during a joint training with the Cincinnati Bengals.

“The incident will now be addressed internally, but any discipline will remain within-house,” a Rams spokesperson stated on Friday, when asked whether Donald or other players would receive discipline.

After surviving the first day of joint practice without incident, Thursday’s practice was cut short after an altercation occurred on the field between the Bengals’ and Rams’ first-team offenses.

During the fight, multiple helmets were thrown off and a Cincinnati Enquirer photographer saw Donald with a Bengals helmet in each of his hands. A Twitter video showed Donald swinging his helmet several times during practice.

Donald, who was supposed to speak during practice was not available. Later, he declined to speak through a spokesperson for the team.

Sean McVay, Rams head coach, stated that he did not want to make a big deal about the fight. He said his understanding was that nobody was hurt in the fight. “It’s like any other, you just keep moving forward, and this’ll only be a little blip of the radar an hour later for our boys.”
