Marcus Foligno of the Minnesota Wild is given a 2-game suspension

Foligno pulled Lowry off the ice in the 3rd period of Tuesday’s match after he had won a fight that ended in a major penalty.

Foligno lifted his leg as officials tried to seperate them. He pressed it against Lowry who was lying on his stomach.

In its explanation video, the NHL’s player safety department stated that Foligno had “clearly, and intentionally used his knee to inflict pain on the head of his vulnerable adversary.”

Foligno was given a minor penalty after the incident for unsportsmanlike behavior. He will forfeit $31,000 for losing games.
