MLB has cancelled the second-week of its 2022 regular seasons after failing to reach an agreement. Talks broke down due to disagreement over the idea of an international draft. MLB had provided the MLBPA three options to considerConcerning the draft, it stated that it would not discuss other issues unless the union chooses one.
Opening Day has been moved to April 14, according to ESPN Stats and Information. This would mark the latest date since 1995 when the season began. The cancellations have resulted in 184 games being cancelled. New York YankeesAt 14., the Yankees lead the pack. The Yankees also lost their season opener against the rival Boston Red SoxThis event was previously scheduled for April 7-10.

I was in FL. We never offered the Int.l Draft. While we discussed it, MLB informed us that they wouldn't offer anything. At that point, we informed all players & agreed to no draft.
