Bristol Bears signed Morgan Eames, forward, from French Pro D2 side Beziers.
Eames, 27, a qualified English speaker, joined Beziers in 2020. He has appeared 33 times, scoring three tries during his time with the second-tier team.
He began his career in the English Championship with Nottingham, and he also spent three seasons with Doncaster.
The versatile forward has signed an undisclosed deal that allows him to play in both the back and second row.
“Morgan, a large man, is comfortable in the second or back row and will suit how we play,” said Pat Lam, Bristol's director and rugby coach.
“He is a powerful operator and will add to our depth. He is English-qualified, and has been a standout forward in ProD2, so he comes to the Bears ready to seize his chance in the Premiership.”
