Luka Doncic Trae YoungThey traded each other for their services during the 2018 NBA draft and are therefore forever linked. Young won Rookie of Year, and was a candidate for MVP early. But Doncic has taken the Hawks under his wing and led them to an unlikely run to the Eastern Conference finals. The matchup is another chapter in the budding rivalry for next-gen players. — Snellings

Heat reached the NBA Finals less then a year ago. Their biggest weakness was a star point guard, who can play the game and take big shots in high-leverage situations. Suns-Clippers last saw us. Patrick BeverleyChris Paul was pushed in complete frustration by Paul, before Paul's first NBA Finals appearance. Beverley is now gone but Paul George, the Clippers and Suns have unfinished business. The Clippers ran short of fuel and other health issues at the playoffs. George stated that if Kawhi Leonard was healthy, the Clippers could have advanced to the NBA Finals. The Jazz was the NBA's best team in regular season. They lost 81 points to the Clippers in the second quarter of their season-ending defeat. This is more than what the Clippers managed in Game 4 of conference finals. Anthony achieved a new bench role last season and shot 40.9% from the deep end, which was a career record. Anthony is now with the Lakers and will once more have a brand new role. A possible Finals preview of this event is the ultimate gift on Christmas DayHowever, the Juggernauts could have another meeting in this season that is just as significant. There's a lot of history between these two teams. It doesn't matter if Russell Westbrook is facing James Harden, James Durant, or LeBron James against Irving. There are many layers to unravel. Westbrook had some great games against the Nets last season, with a 41 point, 10 rebound performance, which included a stunning 3-pointer that stunned Brooklyn. — Youngmisuk

Beverley was the spirit of the Clippers for many years.
