NEWARK, N.J. — New Jersey DevilsA 3rd jersey will be used for the very first time in franchise historical past.
The Devils introduced Tuesday {that a} black sweater with the phrase “Jersey” on the entrance might be used for the primary time on Dec. 8 towards Philadelphia.

The Devils’ colours were purple, inexperienced, and white when they arrived in New Jersey in 1982 from Colorado. The crew wore inexperienced pants until 1992. They changed to black pants and removed the inexperienced sweater to make way for black.
Although the Devils used the original jerseys for retro days, the new black jersey would be the third jersey at least for the next three years.
