New Jersey DUI arrest of John Benton, New York Jets

FLORHAM PARK (N.J.) New York JetsA New Jersey State Police spokesperson confirmed that John Benton, offensive line coach, was taken into custody Thursday night and charged him with driving under the influence.

Benton was driving a Lincoln Navigator and was stopped by police at 11:52 pm while traveling northbound on I-287, Morristown, New Jersey. He was only a few minutes from the Jets training facility.

A Jets spokesperson said that the team is aware of the situation but would not comment.
