NEW YORK – The New York Rangers You have been given Sammy Blais A one-year contract extension was granted to the forward after he sustained a lower body injury that prevented him from playing in most of his first season.
General Chris Drury Friday’s announcement of the agreement did not include any details.
Blais skated in 14 games and received four assists. He also posted a plus-3 rating. Blais, a 25-year-old skater, ranked third among Rangers players with 37 hits. He was tied for the first place in plus/minus after being sidelined Nov. 14.
The Canadian has scored 17 goals in 133 NHL games and assisted 22 others, which were split equally between the Rangers (and him). St. Louis BluesWith whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2019, New York sent forward Pavel Buchnevich Blais was sent to St. Louis for Blais in July and a second round pick in this years’s draft.
Blais was chosen by the Blues during the sixth round in 2014 draft.
