Four of the five NFL MVPs will be competing in the same spot and at the exact same time this year on a golf course.
Capital One’s The Match this year will feature a quartet of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes Josh Allen. The 12-hole exhibit will take place at 6:30 p.m. on June 1. ET on TNT) Wynn Las Vegas, which is the only Las Vegas Strip-based golf course.
Turner Sports announced Monday that Brady and Rodgers will face off against Mahomes, Allen and the old guard.
Rodgers and Brady were opponents in The Match last season. They were paired up with PGA Tour stars Phil Mickelson Bryson DeChambeauLast July in Big Sky Montana. Rodgers and DeChambeau won, Rodgers winning the match with a 12-foot putt on 16th hole.
According to Turner Sports, there have been five previous editions Capital One’s The Match which have raised almost $33 million for different charities.
Rodgers and Brady, the two-time NFL MVP, decided this offseason that they would continue their NFL careers, after having considered retirement. Brady actually retired after the Tampa Bay BuccaneersRodgers was then able to change his mind. He signed a three year, $150 million contract to return to The. Green Bay Packers.
The Wisconsin State Golf Association lists Rodgers as having a handicap of 4.6%. Brady, meanwhile, was listed at an 8.2 handicap before last year. Rodgers has been a regular player in the American Century Championship celebrity-golf tournament. Mahomes participated in it last summer.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen played in the PGA Tour’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am in February as a nine handicap.
Golf.com reports that Mahomes has a 7.7 handicap.
