NHL playoff watch standings updates

We're less than two weeks away to the end of the 2021-22 NHL regular seasons. Although every day clears up some mystery about the playoff fields — with eliminations and clinchings throughout the league — it also clarifies which clubs are legitimate Stanley Cup contenders. Today's schedule contains four thrilling matchups that feature teams who have either clinched a spot, or are fighting for it.

Next up is the Pittsburgh PenguinsThe vs. Boston Bruinsat 12:30 ET. The Penguins are poised to face the New York RangersIn the first round. The Bruins are closing in on clinching. As the East's first wildcard have a matchup. Carolina Hurricanes looming. Pittsburgh won the only matchup between these two clubs so far. 4-2 on Feb. 8They'll be meeting again on April 21.

Next on the agenda: St. Louis BluesHosting the Minnesota Wildat 3 ET (ABC, ESPN+). This is the current No. 2 vs. No. St. Louis has won the previous two games in this matchup in Central Division. We think this game may be more important than each team's schedules.

The puck drops one hour after Wild-Blues starts. Vegas Golden KnightsVisit the Edmonton Oilersat 4 ET. The Knights are currently two points behind in the playoff race and are out of the playoff mix. Nashville PredatorsAnd Dallas Stars(The two West wild card), and one point behind Los Angeles KingsFor the No. No. 3 position in the Pacific Division. They don’t need to win EverywhereThey can win the remaining game but not too many. Oilers currently sit one spot above the Kings in Pacific's No. If things go a certain direction, the second-round preview is possible.
